Meet The Team SALINE COUNTY CAREER School resource officer joins team In his job, Green does several things to ensure students are safe including walking inside and outside the campus and watching security cameras. Green is also available to respond if a crime or accident occurs at the campus. In his role as SRO, Green works with Vice Chancellor Scott Kuttenkuler to develop emergency plans for the campus including active shooting situations or severe weather. Green said he loves working at the campus because it is a beautiful building to work in and all of the students are excited to be there. He called the campus "an escape" for the students and a step toward their future careers. He said the best part of his job is spending time with all of the students and being a role model for them. Green said he connects with students by treating them like adults and just talking to them. During his high school years, Green spend time working at his dad's cabinet shop, so he believes through this experience he will be able to connect better with the students who are planning to learn about similar careers. While talking with students, Green said he is often reminded of himself when he was their age and he often tells them of the great opportunity they have at the campus. "I tell them all how lucky they are to be in a place like this," he said. Along with working as a school resource officer, Green spent two years in the patrol division with the Benton Police Department. He is also a member of the SWAT and a field training officer. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, fishing at Lake Ouachita and exercising. Even through students from six districts are attending the campus, the Benton Police Department was selected to provide the school resource officer for the campus, since it is located within the department's jurisdiction.
