Benton Chamber President and CEO Gary James said they got involved early, but what really made he and his staff stand up and take notice was seeing how all six school districts. came together and the passion all six had for the project. They all embraced SCCTC as something to benefit their students. James said those districts are with students everyday and know what they really need. James said one of the things that has lacked in the county was real workforce development. The Chamber received feedback from both businesses who are in the community and those considering locating in Saline County that this development a need.
