NOW HIRING: ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER Pulaski County Regional Solid Waste Management District The Pulaski County Regional Solid Waste Management District is looking for an Environmental Officer (EO) to investigate, manage, administer, and assist in the eradication of illegal dumping in Pulaski County. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities will also include complementing and supporting EOs, local law enforcement, and code enforcement authorities in the reporting and eradication of illegal tire-dump sites in the five, regional solid waste management districts that make up the nine-county Inter-District Waste Tire Management Program. The EO will also manage the hauler license program for solid waste hauling certification in Pulaski County. The District office is headquartered in downtown Little Rock. Qualifications for this assignment include the following: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Good oral and written communication skills Good computer and math skills A collaborator Environmental interest A professional appearance A safe driving record Preferred knowledge of laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, and violations pertaining to solid waste management and illegal dumping Ability to complete designated mandatory training for EOs . Ability to conduct on-site investigation of areas affected by illegal dumping .
