Harris explained. "I can remember last year. the Russellville game, they had a hard time stopping him, the coach said. "Early in the game he was trying to bounce things wide, and we were like, 'Casey, get downhill, man!"" games," Coach Harris, no rela tion, said. "Against Mountain Home, he had a phenomenal first quarter and then kind of tweaked his hip flexor. We're looking forward to see him grow as a receiver. He's a phe nomenal basketball player, too. Great kid, looking forward to another year from him. He and Casey are going to be a really good combination for us." Though it was a huge game for himself, it doesn't com pare to his most memorable moment. "My favorite memory was going to the state champion- ship, Johnson said. "It left. something on my shoulders that I know I will always have to keep working. We fell short, but it is always a good memory. It motivated me to get this class better knowing we can get to a state championship if we work hard." Harris tied fellow senior receiver Andre Lane with 56 catches last year, both second in Saline County, and led the team with 884 yards and 12 TDs. Once he gets out into the flat, it seems the senior receiv- er puts it in another gear, often outrunning everyone. "He does a really great job," Coach Harris said. "He runs the football really tough for us and I'm looking forward to a big senior year for him. He's had a great career for us." "If you time Cam in the 40, it's not really impressive, but when you put the ball in his hands, he really strides out," Coach Harris said. "He's such a long strider. He separates from you real well, and he's so physi- cal. He catches the ball, he's tough to tackle, he's big (63, 190 pounds) and runs well for a guy that size." After having to deal with injuries during his freshman and sophomore years, two- sport star Cameron Harris has been dynamite on the gridiron as well as the basketball court his junior year. With plenty of big plays last year, both coach and player Harris welcome the opportunity for even more this year. He's a big kid and he's gotten bigger and stronger. He's really an explosive run- ning back. He's that guy who is tough to tackle through a game when he gets downhill." Johnson led the Panthers with 1,140 yards on the ground, just 20 yards shy from leading Saline County, with 14 touch- downs his junior year, while also taking in 21 receptions for 253 yards and another three TDs. His most impressive game last year came against Russellville when he went for 250 yards on 36 carries, though he did have to be reminded of strategy early on, as Coachi make the big plays, risking our body for the big play," the ball- catcher said.
