Typically, symptoms are worse with moving the head or body, such as bending over, looking up, or rolling over in bed. In some cases, vertigo may also be associated with nausea or lightheadedness. Some cases of vertigo are caused by neck issues or Benign Paroxsymal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) which involves mechanical changes in the inner ear.
